Basically that’s what I’m saying. At first I was quite pleased, but I’m a perfectionist for colour, and always want it to match my screen. You will get great results with the above method, but if your screen is calibrated with lets say a Colorvision Spyder 3 Elite, what you get printed out is not going to match perfectly. But it will be close, so give it a try.
Glad you found my blog, if I resolve the issue, and come up with an custom profile, I will update this post.

Thanks for replying Gary.

So are you saying that the above profile/settings that you did didn’t have the outcome that you wanted? Or it did but you wanted to tweek it some more? I plan on printing out some 8.5×11 pictures for a portfolio I am putting together and was searching on the best type of paper and settings for this printer and your review popped up and I’m a fellow Canuck/Torontonian too

The settings will be similar.
I actually have decided that after much trial and error, that I should retract this, it’s very difficult to calibrate this printer, as wonderful as it is, even after making a custom profile, nothing seems to work. Just accept that it is a good printer, and don’t try to match what you see on your screen.

Thanks for this review a info. I just bought myself an 810 and want to start printing photos for my portfolio to show possible clients. I use Photoshop CS5 and was wondering if it’s the same settings as LR?
